Do
I have to replace the valve screw after inflation?
1. The standard valve
(V20) found in most of our products:
Remove the valve screw prior to inflation and replace
the valve screw immediately after inflating the product
to correct diameter/circumference. The rigid plastic
valve screw is designed to fully seal the valve and
to secure loss of air.
2. The smallest type of
valve (V30) found in products like the FG fenders
and the NB20/U3:
This valve does not require removal of the valve screw.
Simply inflate through the centre hole in the valve
screw, using compressed air or a hand pump with a
nozzle that will fit into the centre hole of the valve
screw. If the valve screw feels lose, tighten it carefully,
not damaging the threads.
3. The larges type of
valve (V40 = regulating valve) found in our largest
buoys and fenders:
This valve is designed for easy pressure regulation
and is not equipped with any bottom flap.
The screw shall not be removed from the valve. Open
the valve screw (a few turns anti-clockwise to open
for the airflow), fill air through the centre hole
and close the valve (a few turns clock-wise). Important: Do not tighten the valve screw with
too much force as this may lead to the valve housing
being deformed and leaking of air may consequently
occur.
